Is Your Brand Stuck in the Past?

Knowing when it's time to refresh or rebrand your company is a critical decision that can have a significant impact on your business. In this blog, we will explore the signs that indicate it's time to refresh or rebrand your company and how to approach this process effectively.

Signs that it's time to refresh or rebrand:

Your company has changed

If your company has evolved and your brand no longer accurately represents your business, it may be time to refresh your brand. This could include changes in products or services, target audience, company culture, or mission.

Your brand is outdated

If your brand has not been updated in a while, it may look outdated and not appealing to your target audience. Refreshing your brand can help keep your company relevant and appealing to your customers.

Your competition has changed

If your competitors have updated their brands, it may be time for you to do the same. Keeping up with the competition is important in attracting and retaining customers.

Your brand is not resonating with your target audience

If you are not getting the results you want from your marketing efforts, it may be time to reassess your brand. Your brand should accurately reflect your company and resonate with your target audience.

My approach to a Brand refresh and/or overhaul:

Market research:

Before making any changes, it's important to understand your brand, audience, competitors and high level goals. I research and analyze design decisions such as design aesthetic, messaging, and content, and identify opportunities for you to differentiate yourselves.

Define your brand:

Your Brand Strategy is like a long-term plan for a brand to achieve its goals and stand out in a crowded marketplace. It involves creating a personality, audience, and value proposition for the brand, and making sure everything about the brand - from its messaging to its visuals and marketing tactics - all work together. A good brand strategy is key for building customer loyalty and growing a brand’s market share.

Designing your brand:

Where the creative juices really get flowing. We will establish a clear direction of your design aesthetic, tone of voice, and nail down the foundation of your brand design like logo, color palette, type styles and photography style. Then we’ll move into the supportive elements that expand your brand into a system.

Develop a plan:

Once I have conducted brand analysis, developed your brand foundation and designed your brand identity, we develop a plan for implementing the changes. This includes a timeline, budget, and launch plan. A strong brand is more than just a logo - it’s about creating a consistent, memorable experience across every touch point, and we help you develop the perfect one for your brand.

Execute the plan:

And finally the Execution Phase where all your materials come to life! This may include updating your website, marketing materials, and space. We’ll collaborating on developing the right content per each piece then create each collateral item to best show case your new brand. Depending on whether the project is a print piece, digital, or sourcing materials we always provide a variety of recommended vendors.

In conclusion, refreshing or rebranding your company can be a significant undertaking, but it can also bring significant benefits to your business.

If you think it may be time for a refresh or rebrand book a consultation call with us and we can help you figure out a plan of attack. Ultimately you need your brand to work for you, accurately reflect your company and resonates with your target audience.
